Bobby Bowden Has Message For FSU Players As They Prepare For Oklahoma

Was he forced out or did he retire?  Regardless of how it went down, the the fact remains that Bobby Bowden wasn’t happy about the way his coaching tenure ended at Florida State.  Let’s be clear here, his problem wasn’t with Jimbo Fisher; it was with the administration, the boosters and the board of directors.  As a result, Coach Bowden hasn’t been to a FSU game since his Gator Bowl victory on January 1, 2010; his last game as FSU’s head coach.  He says it’s because he doesn’t want to be a distraction to what Jimbo Fisher is building at FSU, but many feel like there’s still some resentment towards the people who he feels forced him out.

This week Coach Bowden went on a media circuit and announced that he was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2007 but is now cancer free.  During his multitude of interviews, he was asked about Saturday’s matchup between FSU and Oklahoma.
