FSU Seminoles vs. NC State Wolfpack – Game Notes

Florida State (4-3, 2-2 ACC) looks to extend its winning streak to three games Saturday (12 noon, ESPNU) at Doak Campbell Stadium against NC State (4-3, 1-2) in an Atlantic Division match-up.

The Seminoles and Wolfpack are chasing divisional front-runners Clemson and Wake Forest, with the loser facing virtual elimination from title contention.

FSU is coming off a 41-16 win at home against Maryland, marking the second consecutive week it has won by the same score. The ‘Noles knocked off Duke 41-16. No team in ACC history has scored back-to-back wins by that score.

NC State extended its winning streak to two games by collecting a 28-14 triumph at Virginia. It was the first ACC win of the season for the Wolfpack.

The Wolfpack has historically been a fast-finishing team under coach Tom O’Brien and needs to win three of its last five to become bowl eligible.

After matching its season-high of 41 points against an FBS opponent last week, FSU has scored 30 points or more in six of seven contests this season. The Seminoles have no shortage of scoring weapons as 15 different players have accounted for 30 offensive touchdowns.

FSU has one defensive score and also gets better than nine points a game from kicker Dustin Hopkins.
