Swamp Talk – Gators Defense Wore Down Against Georgia, Prepare For Vandy

The Gators’ defense was far from horrible against the Bulldogs. Georgia managed three touchdowns. The drives that resulted in those touchdowns totaled 89 yards with no single one going for more than 45.  Aaron Murray could only muster 169 yards passing.  However, Georgia ability to dominate time of possession by rushing the ball 49 times eventually wore the Gators’ defense down and proved to be the difference in the game.

In this episode of Swamp Talk, Joel Smith, The Bull Gator and Herc discuss the Gators’ defensive performance against the Bulldogs.  Joel expresses his disappointment in the linebacker play this season.  Herc thinks some of the undersized players in the secondary will soon be replaced by bigger, more physical guys.

In addition, we preview this week’s game against the Vanderbilt Commodores.  Joel thinks the outcome will be closer than most people expect.
