Swamp Talk - Gators Get Much Needed Win, Seek Revenge Against Gamecocks [ 40:48 ] Play Now | Play in Popup | DownloadAfter a forgettable month of October, the Gators started November with a much needed, hard fought victory over Vanderbilt. John Brantley was efficient, completing 16 of his 24 passes for 173 yards but the offense was led by Jeff Demps who ran for 158 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Defensively, the Gators were dominant for the first half and made just enough plays in the second half to hold on.
Next up for Florida is South Carolina. However, this is a much different looking Gamecocks team than the one that came into Gainesville last season and beat the Gators 36-14. Stephen Garcia was dismissed from the team and sophomore sensation Marcus Lattimore is out for the season with a torn ACL. Their replacements: Connor Shaw and Brandon Wilds are capable replacements but haven’t shown the play making abilities of their predecessors.
In this edition of Swamp Talk Joel Smith, The Bull Gator and Herc recap the Vanderbilt win and preview this week’s matchup against South Carolina.
