The Renegade Report - Defense Forces 4 Turnovers In Victory Over The Gators [ 53:22 ] Play Now | Play in Popup | DownloadThe Seminoles‘ Defense & Special Teams bailed out the offense in a 21-7 victory over the Florida Gators. Mark Stoops‘ unit tallied 4 interceptions, 1 touchdown, 13 tackles for loss and 2 sacks. Before knocking Gators’ quarterback John Brantley out of the game, FSU picked him off 3 times. Those interceptions led to the first 14 points of the game. Terrance Parks sealed the game with a pick 6 off a Jacoby Brissett pass.
The offense was offensive and could only muster 95 total yards. It became clear early in the game that the offensive line couldn’t block the Gators’ front 7. EJ Manuel was flustered and rushed his reads and throws. Jimbo Fisher ultimately swallowed his pride, ran the ball, chewed up clock and let his defense / special teams win the game instead of letting his offense lose it.
In this episode of The Renegade Report, Herc & Nolebra Kai recap the victory over the Gators. They also give their thoughts on why the offense has struggled so much this season.
