The Florida State Seminoles will face the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the Champs Sports Bowl on December 29th. It’s a matchup that’s tough to predict because of the inconsistency both teams have displayed this season. Most Seminole fans feel like game will be won or loss based on the play of the offensive line; an offensive line that may very well feature 4 true freshmen as starters.
For the FSU defense, success depends on their ability to stop Michael Floyd. Should Mark Stoops put Xavier Rhodes on Floyd all game or should Stoops let Rhodes shut down Notre Dame’s #2 receiver and double team Floyd with Greg Reid / Mike Harris and a safety?
The one clear cut advantage the Seminoles have over Notre Dame is in Special Teams. The kicking and return game should give FSU the field position advantage throughout the game.
In this episode of The Renegade Report, Herc & Nolebra Kai preview the Champs Sports Bowl against Notre Dame and give our score predictions.
