It comes after a dominant, but at times sloppy 48 – 7 victory over the Duke Blue Devils. EJ Manuel connected on several big plays, tallying 282 yards on only 8 completions. The running game accounted for 261 yards on 41 carries.
Defensively it was business as usual. Duke was only able to muster 232 yards of total offense. Christian Jones set the tone early 8 tackles and 3 tackles for loss in the 1st quarter. The Blue Devils leading receiver Connar Vernon was held to 3 catches for 12 yards.
