The results are in and in the eyes of Seminoles’ fans, the most important player for the 2013 season is none other than left tackle Cameron Erving.
Erving surprised even the most skeptical and critical FSU fans with his level of play in 2012 despite never playing offensive line before. With the expected improvement another year of experience provides and the lack of depth behind him, it’s not shocking to see Erving named the most important player for the 2013 season.
Here’s the complete top 25 along with other statistical breakdowns:

Classification

It’s a good sign that 17 of the 25 Most Important Seminoles for 2013 are juniors or seniors. At the same time, there’s understandable concern when 4 of the underclassmen listed are either 2 quarterbacks, a kicker and a punter.
Thanks to everyone who participated. We’ll rank the players again in August and then we’ll rank the 25 best players of the season in January.
